SEER RATING – What does this mean?
The standard for today’s building code is equipment that requires at least a 13 SEER rating when ALL components are compatible and installed correctly. Approximately 95% of the homes built before January 1, 2006 most likely have equipment that rates a 10 SEER – which operates less efficiently than newer, higher SEER rated equipment. Larry Neary Heating & Air has been installing 13 SEER rated equipment in custom homes for several years; therefore, we are most familiar with installing and repairing higher SEER rated equipment and ahead of today’s standards. We now offer 14, 16 and 19 SEER rated equipment. As you can see, from our past product line and today’s – our “standard” offering is far reaching into “tomorrow’s standard” building codes.
